When The 11-10-02 Foundation started, a rocking chair was our desk, a lunchbox was our briefcase, a shoebox was our bank and used cereal boxes were our filing cabinets. Here's a sample of how things have grown.
ALABAMA: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a series of scholarships to help college students studying Civil Rights Law in Alabama
ARIZONA: The 11-10-02 Foundation has provided funds for a number of projects in Arizona. They include: a grant for a public school to purchase 1st-3rd grade age range books for its library, and a grant to sponsor a Middle School attendance contest in which the 6th-8th grade class in the school with best overall class attendance for the first semester of the school year would receive funds for educational needs and school supplies during the second semester.
CALIFORNIA: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a series of scholarships to help college students studying Social Entrepreneurship in California. 11-10-02 provided a grant to help a new public school in a community with significant financial need get books for its new library.
GEORGIA: The 11-10-02 Foundation provided scholarships for a number of students going to college in Georgia.
ILLINOIS: The 11-10-02 Foundation was created - and remains based - in Illinois. Over the years, it has funded an extensive number of grants to benefit elementary, middle and high schools and students around Illinois. The 11-10-02 Foundation has also funded an extensive number of grants and scholarships to benefit Illinois-born students and the local colleges they attend, and/or organizations they are part of. These grants and scholarships have helped provide things ranging from books and computers to art supplies to materials for science classes to finance-based education material to music instruments as well as tuition for college students studying fields like business, broadcasting, film, education, architecture, medicine and many others.
INDIANA: The 11-10-02 Foundation has funded a number of scholarships for students going to college in Indiana. 11-10-02 also funded a specific set of scholarships for college students studying Computer Science in Indiana. 11-10-02 also provided the funds to help a library in Indiana purchase the products they use to help teach young children to read and to enhance the Math, Science and Technology-related education of teen students.
IOWA: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a series of scholarships for community college students in Iowa who are focusing on Agriculture
KENTUCKY: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a series of scholarships for college students studying Nursing in Kentucky.
LOUISIANA: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a number of scholarships for need-based college students in Louisiana who are studying pre-Veterinary Medicine and who demonstrate a high degree of ethics in their care for animals and treatment of those around them. 11-10-02 has also provided a grant to an arts organization to help students with financial need in Louisiana further their arts education.
MARYLAND: The 11-10-02 Foundation has funded a scholarship for a Maryland-based student in college
MICHIGAN: The 11-10-02 Foundation has funded a scholarship for student going to college in Michigan.
MINNESOTA: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a scholarship for a student going to college in Minnesota.
MISSISSIPPI: The 11-10-02 Foundation provided the funds to fund a scholarship for a student studying Marine Science in Mississippi's Gulf Coast. 11-10-02 also has provided grants for a number of libraries in Mississippi, to help ensure they can provide positive, educational reading material for students NEW YORK: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded the funds to help an education in upstate New York engage students with financial need in on-site, art-related education projects. NORTH CAROLINA: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a scholarship for a student going to college in North Carolina.
OHIO: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a grant for a student attending college in Ohio.
VERMONT: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a series of scholarships for college students studying Writing and Literature in Vermont
WASHINGTON D.C.: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a grant for a college student studying medicine in Washington DC. The 11-10-02 Foundation funded a scholarship for a college student studying business in Washington DC.
WISCONSIN: The 11-10-02 Foundation funded scholarships for a number of students going to college in Wisconsin. 11-10-02 has also funded scholarships for a student going to law school in Wisconsin.
