HONORS: The 11-10-02 Foundation, its founder &/or its volunteers have received special awards including:  Jefferson Award for Public Service (multiple volunteers), America's Daily Point of Light (individual), America's Daily Point of Light (organization), CBS Tylenol Hometown Hero (multiple volunteers), Zeta Beta Tau National Man of Distinction, Presidential Student Service Gold Award, Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers Community Leader, Teacher.com Excellence on the Internet, Teacher Information Network Gold Award, Education Center Director's Award, Hasbro "GI JOE" Real Life American Heroes, Leadership Conference on Civil Rights Promising Program

MEDIA: The 11-10-02 Foundation, The Brunch Bunch Mentoring Program, its founder, its volunteers &/or its beneficiaries have been featured by local and national media.  Good Morning America buried a Time Capsule that chronicled the first 100 weeks of the mentoring program.  The NonProfit Times did a cover story on the Foundation & its founder.  Other media has included  The Washington Post, Education Week, Volunteer Leadership, College News, FOX, NBC & National Public Radio.

PUBLIC FIGURES:  The 11-10-02 Foundation, its founder, volunteers &/or its beneficiaries have received kind letters of support & recognition from local & national public officials. The letters have come from public leaders from both sides of the aisle including: Mayors, Representatives, Senators, Governors, First Ladies, and Presidents Clinton, Bush (41) & Bush (43).  This letter from First Lady Laura Bush is a sample of the kind notes that have been received.
