30+ STATES & COUNTING: The 11-10-02 Foundation has continued to extend its reach around America – funding college scholarships for students in 2 more states: Nebraska & Pennsylvania. We also have our first scholar from Rhode Island. In all 3 cases, we followed a 2-step process. First, we selected a nonprofit based in that state. Then, we let them nominate a student whom they believe best fit our criteria – either from the students they work with or the ones who intern for their organization. 11-10-02 has now given out grants & scholarships in almost 35 states & D.C.
LEGAL LEGACY
We also funded a special new law school scholarship. One of our former Scholars (Sir) & his wife
(Truscenialyn) teamed up with some of their friends, family & old law school classmates to donate money to 11-10-02. In turn, we took 100% of that amount, plus we matched it – & a new scholarship was created. It was given to a current law school student named Nataly. She is the first member of her family in law school, and she was very excited about the scholarship. We're happy to help Nataly reach her dream, and we're proud to see a former Scholar paying it forward! |

A MEMORABLE SHIFT AT THE STORE
11-10-02's newest Scholars are usually informed in writing and by phone. A college student named Jamilah had a different experience. She works at a grocery store while going to school. 11-10-02's Founder, Greg Forbes Siegman, showed up at the store while she was working & surprised her with the news. After she received our support, a doctor named Santhosh saw her thank you letter. He was impressed by her and proud to see she dreams of a career in medicine. He made a donation to fund a second grant for her. Congrats, Jamilah. Twice!
PRIORITIES
There is no application process for our Scholarships. So, some people wonder what we look for. The answer can be found within our Priorities. To read them, click here. It is difficult to overstate how much our Priorities mean to us.

.....graduates from his old high school to receive scholarships with a portion of the funds that had been set aside for him. The high school rep was given the chance to choose two recent graduates with financial need who meet our organization's priorities and criteria. Each one received a scholarship from 11-10-02. As a result, we now have two new Scholars – one going to school in Ohio, another in Iowa. |
